Theresa Renz

A Letter and Pictures From the Members of Crossland Associate, Inc.

Dear Theresa

We will be missing you very much!

We had been worked together from 1995 to 2007. We had so many good memories in past 12 years. We worked together, laughed together, argued together, traveled together, and had parties together. As a team, we grew up together with Crossland.
We knew your love story every time you had something exciting after weekends. We all joined with you when Michael put Ring on your finger. That story you had repeated so many times in office, showroom or restaurant. Finally, we all had a great wedding party for your new beginning of love.

A shock news brought us into tearful even though we, Lee, Alvin and Charles, are Ten Thousand miles away in China. We cannot do anything bring you back but your smiling will be deeply remembered in our heart forever.

We love you and Michael.

A Message From Julie Davis

The five of us, Kajsa, Carrie, Nancy, me [Julie], and Theresa had a very special connection. We met at Kajsa’s dance class and had so much fun together. In a short time we expanded to include our husbands, or in Theresa’s case, her soon to be husband. This became a wonderful time in all our lives.

Theresa was a unique and most special person; strong, but with a gentleness. She often talked to me about her mother and sister with such love. Since both of us worked in the fashion industry, we could laugh, complain, moan, and even sob about our choice of career. I’m so glad Theresa got to reach her goal of having her own company.

Theresa and Michael could have given the world so much more if time had allowed…..but their loved ones will find a way to take comfort in the memory of what they achieved and the joy they shared.

Over the years the “five” of us drifted apart for many reasons, but when I look at these two photos I have to smile….”THE FIVE OF US”…..STILL!

A Message From Eloisa Diaz-Sanz

I am a former employee of Theresa Ferguson. We had the pleasure of working together for three years before she started her own company.

Here are two photos of her. In the first she is wearing her own design and the second photo is a card she had our design team create for one of her clients. She had a wonderful sense of humor as you can see from this photo and she will be missed very much.

Theresa was an amazing dancer. I know this because I danced next to her for years at Equinox mostly at Kajsa’s dance class. She had an amazingly bubbly personality and was always ready to dance and have a good time no matter what kind of day she had at work.
Before I met Michael, Theresa always talked (swooned) about him. Upon meeting him for the first time it was easy to see what she was swooning over. They were so adorable together. This is such a beautiful website and I am glad there is such a dedication to their love for each other. I will miss them always.

Theresa, I miss you. Since 1999, I have regarded you as my friend more than a customer. I really miss you a lot. May you and Michael happy in the heaven

When Mike and Theresa started dating she was able to move within a tight knit group of boyhood friends who were not always the easiest on a guy’s new girl. She did it with amazing grace and humor which made us all love her. Rather than keeping Mike from us she brought us all closer because she added so much to the time we spent together. She did it with her ever present smile and amazing laugh which I can hear now by just closing my eyes.
My father in-law lives in New Milford and for holidays I used to catch rides with Michael and Theresa from the city in her red Jeep. Sitting in the backseat listening to her laugh is a simple memory that will always make me smile, sometimes mixed with tears.

I get the passing away of Theresa Renz-Fergusin and her husband with great astonishment when I was in Hangkong on my bussiness trip and I really could not make myself believe it is true and try told myself that it as a joke or a nightmare.
I tried to call to Theresa by phone but didn’t get any responde. When we checked it is a truth from the net, I almost fall in a faint at a moment.
I can’t imagine why this will happened by Theresa?? She is so happy when she wrote the last email to me on Saturday7/3.
She is a so nice person I even know.I know Theresa and work with her by email from June 2009 and meet for the first time in Nov.2009.We are so happy to see each other and Theresa said twice “it is really so nice to meet you”I had worked together with Theresa for about two days and she is really so kind and so lovely lady. She ‘s like share foods and She will all eyes when she saw something new.

She so love her husband and when she talk about her husband always with so many happiness. The terribly funny thing is that, when I ask for see the photo of her husband, she give me one pc about 8 years old boys photo and said it is the photo of her husband’s childhood. She so love her husband and if he have time, she really want come to china have a holiday together with her husband. She like China so much!
MY GOD.You are always in my mind those days and something make me really could not work as careful as before. I can clearly remember the email you send to encourage me and from the words I can feel you are really like me and hope I can always work as good as usual. I will do as I promised.
Theresa was a kind and generous and will forever live in my heart!
You may have better life with your husband in the heaven!

To this moment, the news about Theresa and Michael still seems surreal to me. I’ve known Theresa professionally since 2001, the things that I remember the most about Theresa is her competitiveness, her sense of humor, and most of all, the very apparent love she shared with her husband Michael. Whenever our meeting gets a little hectic, I could always count on hearing her infectious laugh by asking about Michael’s frustration level with the latest Mets loss. I will truly miss her.

We have been knowing each other for more than 16 years. I still remember every single moment along with you: we were shopping in the mall in hangzhou, China; we were having coffee chatting our business and life, you always talk about your family and your Michael; we were drinking in Las Vegas for cheering up our business… I am still in dubious mode, I just can not believe this is a truth that we lost you as a friend, apparel business lost a talent.
I am sacred and I hate this is so unfair to you. I miss you all the time. Please take care yourself there. I know you are always with us. I want to cry and I have to stop write to you now. Please keep in touch. Your best friend Garrison.

Georgiann Hoffmann/Bisso July 9, 2011 at 1:56 am

I received these pictures from my sister, Rita Bisso, who is also in one of the photos as a child on the beach with Mr. and Mrs. Renz. I grew up on Butterfly Drive with them and they were my parent’s closest friends. My mom has passed since then and my dad and sister still live in the same neighborhood. My heart goes out to Mr. and Mrs. Renz. I vividly remember the times we all had hot buttered rum together. We all had great times together and these times were truly missed when the Renz’s moved away.

I need to point out a picture to all of you. It is a family shot which was obviously taken a few years back. There are 10 people in the photo and under it states that it is from Cathy and Andy Ferguson. If you look at the photo you will see angel wings over Theresa and her husband, Michael, and the shadow of an angel’s head in between the both of them. When my sister sent me this photo I couldn’t believe it. I then showed it to my whole family and just asked them what they saw in the picture. They all said that they saw angel wings.

Please relay this message to all of her friends and family , and show them this photo. I believe in god and truly believe that they are being lovingly watched over by this angel. My prayers and thoughts are with them always!

Love, Georgiann
